If you intend to have a site or blog, you’re going to need hosting. But with all the options out there it can be a headache just trying to find a hosting company that could facilitate your preferences let alone if you know which things to look for.

To assist you find the best hosting plan and services for your new website or blog, take into account all these six factors.

1. Costs

Costs can vary from just a couple of dollars a month to hundreds but don’t let cheap hosting be the only alternative you decide on to save dollars. Cheap hosting could be advantageous around the $10 range every month although going far lower can cause many issues with tech support, up-time along with server related issues.

In the same way, if you’re going to host an exceedingly large website you may want to get one of these higher end server for example dedicated. When traffic increases or your site expands, you will be happy you didn’t stick with a cheap hosting company.

2. Scalability

Let’s say your web site becomes popular you don’t want to be saddled with one particular hosting company that are unable to handle the traffic you’ll be receiving. When choosing a web host, always look to see how easy it is to transition to a higher paid hosting plan; it will help you avoid nasty downtimes and keep your internet site up and running.

3. Reliability

The best web hosting in the world is going to be nothing if it keeps going down. If a web host crashes, so does your internet site. Be sure if you are deciding on a web host that the company offers a high percentage up-time to guarantee that your internet-site will be online more than its offline.

4. Customer and Tech Support

When something fails with your internet-site often it might be because of the web hosting service. If it is your web host that’s having trouble, you’ll want to be able to contact them to get your internet site back up and running. Find a web hosting service company that can offer you round the clock support for any hiccups that may occur.

5. Server technology

Before you decide on a webhost, go a little geeky and research the backend server software offered on the host. If you’re running certain software you’ll need to have various versions of server side programming languages such as PHP. Don’t be caught in a payment when you can’t use your host to the fullest extent; find a great hosting company that constantly updates their backend.

6. Avoid free hosting

Free hosting has its own merits; mainly that’s free but there are far too many troubles with free hosting such as downtime, lack of customer care and bandwidth throttling that makes it important that you avoid these hosting companies. Likewise, free hosting companies often place ads on your internet-site to recuperate the costs for hosting – you will not want to host an ecommerce website that may lose sales as a result of advertising.

If you can follow these simple 6 things then you might pick up the best web hosting service for your website that may never let you feel sorry for your decision. As told, never choose a free web hosting company; always think about web hosting companies which most businesses are loving like hostgator web hosting or any other like that. I hope this post was helpful for many of you.

Abhinav Risi is undoubtedly an skilled US article writer who’s very nerdy in nature and really loves talking about web hosting. One of his beloved one is hostgator and he has shown that why in the hostgator review which one can read.

For some people, marketing is the ultimate thrill. There are people that are truly passionate about the craft of promoting businesses and products, and these people would like nothing more than to make a good living as a marketing consultant. If this sounds like you, or if you have a passion for marketing, then you need to start thinking about ways that you can start to work as a marketing consultant. One of the first steps that you should take on this road is to take an internet marketing course.

This is because most companies have some experience with offline marketing. Without it, they would not have survived long as a business. The area where most companies lack expertise though, is when it comes to internet marketing. Many companies were in business long before the internet became a viable marketing tool. Because of that, they have not bothered to keep up with the times. If you have a strong knowledge of internet marketing, you can start to hire yourself out as a consultant to those types of companies.

There are a few things that you can do that will help you to make money as an internet marketing consultant. First, you need to be up to date with all the latest and most effective ways to market a business online. Word of mouth is going to be one of your best marketing tools for your services. If you’re up to date and can provide great results for your clients, word will get around and you should have no problem finding a steady stream of clients going forward.

The next thing you need to consider is your portfolio. Getting the first few clients is going to be one of the most difficult things. Once you can show your success in a concrete form to prospective clients, they are going to be much more encouraged about trying your services. Sometimes, building a few sites of your own and promoting them effectively online can show your clients that you know exactly what you’re doing when it comes to internet marketing.

If you want to make money as an internet marketing consultant, you should take some courses or online classes in the subject. The truth is that just as there is a lot of money to be made in this business, there are also a lot of pitfalls that anyone could easily fall subject too. If you take a course in the subject, you should be able to learn about a lot of the mistakes that you need to avoid, and it can make a big difference in the eventual bottom line of your business.

The big thing is that you need to put yourself out there. Make contact with small local businesses whom you can see don’t have a strong presence on the internet currently. Make contact with those companies and let them know how you would go about improving their business. Walk into a pitch session or a cold call with a plan already in place for how you could improve a company’s online presence, and they will start taking your consulting services seriously.

Rich Reese is a consultant for an internet marketing course company and has expert knowledge of selling online marketing.

There are many people looking for the right web host provider. Some of these people require specific requirements, as it relates to a provider. If you need to design an ASP.net website your search will be narrowed a bit. There are asp net hosting options available through a number of providers.

The ASP.net framework is developed through Microsoft. It allows programming to build web sites, web applications and web services. This particular framework was built on the CLR, or Common Language Runtime. There are considerations to make when it comes to this sort of web host. Let’s take a look at some of the important requirements for asp net hosting.

Find asp net hosting that is reliable

When you look for any type of web host provider you must pay attention to the details. This is important when it comes to asp net hosting. Reliability is one of the critical details in this process. It doesn’t matter, whether you choose a large or small provider. Customers do not want to worry about the functionality of their web sites.

Web hosts are responsible for presenting customers with accessible sites. They provide space on a particular server that they own or are leasing. Reliable services allow you to conduct business on your website efficiently. Hosts of this sort are those that are search engine optimization ready, which will benefit your site’s ranking.

The cost of asp net hosting is important

Most businesses have a specific budget as it relates to internet marketing and advertising. Included in this process is the development of a professional website. These sites are used to not only promote goods and services. They are also instrumental when it comes to selling products. If you need asp net hosting, finding affordable service is important.

Bargain shopping is a good way to find the right asp net hosting service. This means comparing hosts that offer similar services. The least expensive option will not always be the right one. And just because a service is costly doesn’t mean it is efficient. Comparing hosts will provide you will the information that you need to make a choice.

What are the ratings for this type of hosting?

Another method for choosing asp net hosting is to look at individual ratings. The internet provides potential customers with ratings on these services. This information can be used to determine which providers are the best. You should make a shortlist of hosts to simplify your selection process. Ratings usually focus on a number of criteria, depending on who is doing it.

They often look at cost, success rates, tools and services. All of these will factor into your consideration process. The initial research that you do prior to selecting asp net hosting will prove critical. Since there are similar hosts available, you will need to gather good information on each of them. This will allow you to remain in your budget, while securing services that are important to your business.

Shane Stafford writes for Who Is Hosting This, a company that has host reviews and information on DMCA.

You want to get your enterprise onto the internet. You are wondering just how much it is going to cost you. Then you see a web host that is offering cheap domain hosting. You are obviously tempted to jump at it, but before you do, carefully consider the risks that you are taking.

Customers who jump at the opportunity of cheap domain hosting risk having their domains stolen. Designed to pull you into the profit making process of the internet, subscribing to these cheap domain hosting packages may not be the smartest or safest decision.

Registering your domain through these avenues, does not necessarily mean that all safety procedures will be well attended to during the registration process. In the long run you may find that the domain you thought was yours has been stolen and is being used by someone else who will have followed stringent registration protocol to ensure that you never get it back.

Secondly you undertake great security risks when you opt for cheap domain hosting. Most of these hosting plans are provided on shared servers. You are probably just one of the hundreds or thousands hosted on the same server. Mischievous webmasters on the same server can pose a great security risk to your data and the performance of your web site.

Another risk that you undertake when you opt for cheap domain hosting is that of frequent system crashes. The reliability of shared hosting will always be questionable. Even with measures to stabilize shared servers, such as load balancing; placing thousands of web sites on a single server is bound to have its inherent problems. Such machines are always plagued with failures. This means that your web site too becomes a non-performer and you lose visitor and potential business opportunities.

Before you leap into the murky waters of cheap domain hosting, consider the pros and cons of choosing that option, then consider your business and finally make a prudent decision; because whatever you decide will have a direct effect on your business.
Due to the fact that so many webmasters, on shared servers, are sharing web space and bandwidth, there may be the risk of your web site not performing at optimal levels.

Any spike in the traffic to the shared server will affect the loading speeds of your website, and if you are hosting downloadable content on your web site, be sure that you run the risk of loosing your site visitors for good.

Consider a situation whereby your website is down due to server side problems. Maybe the server crashed after too much demand on the system resources. You pick up the phone to call customer service. At the same time another client on a dedicated server needs the same services.

It’s a no-brainer as to who will get first priority from the support department. Opting for cheap web hosting will put you at the lower ranks when it comes to getting attention from support staff. This will of course lead to unresolved issues lasting longer than they normally would and your web site suffers.

Shane Stafford works for WhoIsHostingThis, the ultimate website for hosts, with hundreds of reviews and coupons .

One of the dirtiest marketing practices that internet marketers are using is the fake review. Some of the most subtle fake reviews are promoted by the so called “independent” review sites.

It is hard to imagine that a site claiming to be an independent review site could post fake customer reports, interviews that they have composed all by themselves, fake identities of supposedly satisfied customers and even going to the extent of posting fake testimonials. All these are designed to entice you to sign-up to the web hosting services at the site that they are hyping.

Sometimes these fake reviews are made by affiliate marketers who want to maximize their sales in order to get a huge payout in terms of commissions. The double tragedy here is that they will hype up the most expensive services so that they make huge payouts. These reviews do not give you any useful information and are designed just to complete a sale. But there are a few ways you can make sure the review you’re reading is genuine.

If a web host review sounds too fleshed up and beyond the norm then it is probably not genuine. No web host can claim to be perfect or has never had any downtime at all. Such reviews are not genuine at all and any information they promote should be taken with caution and researched well before acting on.

Look for the status of the person writing the review. If you encounter a web host review at a forum, check to ascertain the member status of the writer of the review. A new member status implies that this is a new member who has piggybacked on another and that the review was written by someone else in the hope of making a sale for the host concerned.

A genuine web host review will list the pros and cons of that particular web host. A writer of a review should essentially be a user of the host that he/she is reviewing and should therefore give their own website address at the address of the host that he/she is reviewing. E.g. If you come across a review for a host named xyzxy.com, then the reviewer should add his/her address at that host i.e. reviewer xyzxy.com.

A genuine web host review should show verifiable statistics of the performance of their websites, probably through monthly uptime reports. A reviewer who is forthcoming with all pertinent information in a manner that is easily verified is definitely genuine and should be trusted; any reviewer who seems to be holding things back should be treated as a fake.

If you find a review by clicking on a paid advertisement, then that review is suspect. Any reviewer who is paying for advertising is looking for money and may not be impartial.

Lastly, any web host review site that asks for email address verification before they accept any reviews is one that can be trusted. It shows that they are interested in the true facts of the host being reviewed and not the sales hype that an individual seeking to make sales commissions from the host being reviewed.

A server is actually a computer that serves up information to other computers called clients. These clients can connect to a server either by a Wide Area Network (WAN) like the Internet or a Local Area Network (LAN) which is traditionally used in offices but in recent times has also become more common in homes.

There are many different types of servers. There are mail servers, file servers and web servers. A mail server stores email accounts, and sends and receives email messages. Every time you send an email to your Mum, your message is sent by a mail server using what is known as an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol).

Any computer can be used as a server, if server software has been installed. Often servers do not really need much processing power, but a lot of RAM (Random Access Memory) is beneficial for handling heavy traffic going to and from the server, fast hard drives are also of benefit in speeding the transfer of data.

Did you ever stop to think about how your favorite web page finds its way onto the screen of your computer? This happens because of what is called a web server. A web server brings to your computer or mobile screen, your favorite web page whether you are at the office, at home, in a cafe or on a bus.

Whenever we want to go to a site, we usually click on a link, search the internet or type in the site’s URL (Uniform Resource Locator) into the computer’s browser. But then, you are most certainly not the only person viewing that page. So how does the site appear on the screens of every single person, all over the world, who has typed the same URL on their browsers?

For example, let us assume that you want to view “example.com”. You can do this by either clicking on a link or typing the URL into your web browser. Through your Internet connection, your browser establishes a connection to the server that is storing (or hosting) the “example.com” files. It does this by converting the domain name into what is called an IP address (a unique number that every computer using the Internet is assigned). This is done through DNS (a domain name server) which then locates the server that has that IP address associated with it and displays the relevant information on your screen.

To make it simpler, let us say that by typing the URL into your browser and hitting “enter” your computer starts knocking on the door of the server that houses the website you want to view. Once the contact has been made or once the server opens the door, your browser then asks the server if your website is at home.
The server then delivers the data you requested, by using HTTP, back to your browser which converts the data into the page you see on your computer screen. The same process happens with every computer that wants to view the same page at the same time.

If the web-page you want to view is not available on that server, or has been deleted, you will get an error message.

The hunt for the perfect web hosting company for your site can be exhausting. With hundreds of companies boasting of being the top web host, which one should you trust with housing your site? With each company advertising low rates and what not, you need to understand that all the features the companies may offer are totally irrelevant, unless it offers excellent security. Before choosing the web host for your site, you need to make sure that they have the capability to keep your website secure.

SSL — Secure Sockets Layer

SSL (Secure Sockets Protocol) is encryption that keeps incoming and outgoing communications of your website secure. If your site is a commerce site, your customers sends you sensitive information such as their credit card details, emails or addresses all the time. However, this information can be used by hackers or identity thieves. This is why SSL is among the most important security features. And, as a great majority of online shoppers will not shop on any site without the SSL encryption certificate, having that certificate can actually attract more customers.

SFTP – Secure File Transfer Protocol

Secure File Transfer Protocol or SFTP, is a program that uses Secure Shell (SSH) to transfer files, encrypting both commands and data, and preventing any password and sensitive information from being transmitted unprotected over the network. To put things in simple terms, SFTP encrypts all data before it is sent across the network.

(DDoS) — Distributed Denial-of-Service Protection

Have you ever experienced calling home and unable to connect because all the circuits are busy? This usually happens during holidays or during situations where there are just more calls than the capacity of the telephone service can handle. What happens is that the deluge of calls creates a Denial of Service to other callers because they are being “denied” the use of the telephone service.
This can also happen to a computer. A DDoS attack is done by a malicious intruder or hacker who has managed to gain access to multiple computers that have been compromised. This is commonly caused by a worm or Trojan. This affects every website on the server that has been compromised. It is very important that the web hosting service you choose has security measures to prevent these kind of attacks.

Firewall

Almost every web hosting company is protected by a firewall. But, not all web hosting companies give the user access to the admin functions of the firewall they use. If you want maximum control over the security of your website then you will need access to the configuration of the firewall, often this is only possible with a dedicated server.

Spam Filter

Spam can drive you nuts. There are many evildoers and hackers that use spam to infect your computer with viruses. Phishing (password stealing), and malicious software that can cause serious data loss, are among the many nasty things that can happen because of spam. The security of your website and computer can be compromised by spam so you need a spam filter that can provide ample protection.

Shane Stafford writes for WhoIsHostingThis, a hosting review resource that has pages for hosts such as iPower, IX Web Hosting and PowWeb.

Ever thought about what if you really could build a site? That identical idea has occurred to many people. Some have actually done it. Most others have gotten bogged down within the negatives somewhere and never started.

Wait a second! Are those really valid reasons? Did they really look at the positive side? Did we consider the reasons for building a website? The issues in favor of going online? Maybe we should have a more balanced approach. Let’s consider 5 reasons for you to build a site, in order to see if any one of them fit here.

First, building a website can be a very fun venture that can occupy your time in a more positive manner. Sure, I understand your objection that building a website can be difficult. Certainly that is a valid objection. However you ought to consider that with the many tools in the website building market, many of them make it extremely easy to build a site.

And moreover, you will need to consider that many of the website creation tools out there are totally free and highly respected by Google. A good example of this would be Squidoo. Have you ever heard of them? They allow you to build a site called a lens.

Secondly, building a website can be profitable. The primary reason for that is many people and businesses go online today to find what they are looking for in products or services. Many individuals are running global businesses from their homes and making a lot of money.

And in addition to thinking of what business to build a site on, the sky is the limit of what you can go into. Do you know what a niche is, or a micro-niche? I will give you an example: Golf is a niche, golf shoes is a micro niche.

Thirdly, if you build a site online and it becomes very successful, you can quit your job. Wouldn’t that be great to fire the boss? A lot of people can not stand the people they work for. If that is your case, then you have even more incentive to lose that job. And also with a job, you are limited to the amount of income you can earn. When you become creative and go online, if it is business you are interested in, you really do not have to have an income ceiling!

Fourthly, along with having more creative fun, and being able to earn money and work from home, you can have a lot more time off to spend with your family. You also can give up the daily commute. I don’t know how long that is for you, but it usually starts a lot earlier than the actual drive.

When you build a site and work from home, you can get up, work a spell and shower and dress later. You have heard of people working in their underware, well it is true, and you can join them.

And the fifth reason, when you build a successful website of a business nature, it can offer you many tax benefits. I am not offering tax advise but in my own case, I have seen deductions on new computers, online training, tools, internet expenses and much more.

To be successful incurs expenses and the US Government is willing to help you out there. It is good for the economy. If it were not for entrepreneurs who succeeded and become rich, we probably would not have a middle class.

Within all the above informatilon lies a great list of reasons in favor of building a website today. It is certainly not all of the reasons, but it is a good start. What is your opinion on the matter?

Now, after all that, what do you say? Isn’t that a strong case in favor of building a website? What if you really could build a site and make your life a lot more wonderful in so many ways?

If you happen to take a look at all of these reasons and evaluate them carefully, you will need to admit that a very compelling case can be made for considering how to build a site and go online today. Many people are not even interested in the financial aspect of building a website but they still make money anyway.

How? They install affiliate offer codes on their sites and earn money automatically. Have you ever noticed the small Google ads, banners and advertising on most websites these days? Many people earn passive income from those ads and they do no active work at all to earn that money. They just play with the creative aspects of their sites and have fun.

Just think it over. Maybe, just maybe, you really, in all seriousness, ought to build a site today!
