How To Get Your Point Across To Any Personality Type

May 12, 2009 · Filed Under Presentation · Comment

What I am about to present to you is a fast, easy method to communicate with a large number of people effectively and if you answer four basic questions with your message, you’ll reach 99% of any audience successfully.

I got turned on to this concept by my good friend Alex Mandossian. It’s based on a guy named David Kolb. It’s actually experiential, experienced based learning. It’s also called L.S.I which stands for Learning Style Inventory. Basically, what it is all about is how we learn.

1. You have a concrete experience.
2. You then observe and reflect on that experience.
3. You form abstract concepts based on your thinking about the experience.
4. You test those new concepts you form.

Let’s say for example, you’re driving around a sharp curve on the road and almost crash. That’s the experience. Now you’re going to go, Wow that was close. So now you have observed and reflected on that experience.

The third part is, Ah, maybe I’d otta slow down around that curve. That’s the abstract concept that’s based on your thinking about the experience. Now the forth part is, the next time you drive down the road, you’re going to slow down when you come to that curve, because of that concept you just formed. Now here’s how this works for you.

There are different types of personalities. We all know that. But each one of those personality types learns differently. Now to get and keep their attention, you have to speak to their style and their values. So here are the four.

1. The Sales Personalities. Those are the persuaders and motivators and 35% of the population are made up of those types of people.
2. Next you have The Scholastics Personalities. They focus on the objectives and outcomes and about 18% of the population are those types of people.
3. Next you have The Technical Personalities. They focus on operations and processes. About 25% of the population are those people.
4. Then you have The Advocates or Marketers Personalities. Those people are creative’s and focus on opportunities and 20% of the audience are those types of people.

Now each type has a different filter for learning. So they ask different questions when they are forming their abstract concepts. So your answers to those questions, gets them to test their concepts and take action. Now here are the four questions each one asks. This is the core of this whole process.

1. Sales people ask, Why?
2. Scholastics ask, What for?
3. The Technical’s ask, How?
4. The Advocates or Marketer’s ask, What If?

So let me give you an example. If your message is buy my product. A sales person will ask, “Why should I buy this product?” and your answer needs to have benefits. You’ll say, “This product will bring you happiness, make you more attractive, save you time and will make life easier and it will save and earn you more money”. Something like that.

Now if you do this to a Scholastic, their going to ask, “What purpose should I buy this product for?” So you need to answer this question with practical results. You will say to them, “This product will accomplish A, B, and C for you or will do them better, faster, or cheaper.

Now the Technical’s will say, “How does this product work?” Now you should answer this question with processes or systems. So you’ll say, “Here’s how this product works. This is how it produces the results.” They want to get inside it. They want to understand how this product is connected.

Now the Advocates and Marketers are interesting, because their going to ask, “What if I used this product too?” So you’ll want to answer this question by suggesting how you could use the product in ways other than the obvious. So what we would say to a marketer is, “Here’s how you can use this camera to make money, for example.”

Let’s talk about structuring your message. You need to cover these points in order for maximum effectiveness.

1. Why you should buy this product and how it will benefit you personally.
2. What this product will do and what it will practically accomplish.
3. How this product does what it does and what or all the creative things you can do with this product.

That’s the bottom line and if you do it in that order for those people, you’ll be able to attract them, keep them attentive and answer all the questions to get the maximum number of people to convert, buy your product or get on board with you.

That is how to get your point across in any personality type by answering 4 simple questions.

I look forward to seeing your success!

What’s Within Your Self Esteem! Try, Do Or Do Not – What’s Your Choice?

May 7, 2009 · Filed Under Goal Setting · Comment

What lies within your inner soul? When it comes to your self esteem, What’s your choice?

W. Clement Stone once quoted, “Try, try, try, and keep on trying is the rule that must be followed to become an expert in anything”

Do you remember Star Wars? Yoda made this quote, “Do or Do Not, there is no such thing as try!”

If you were to look up the word “Try” you would come up with this reference.

- To attempt to do or accomplish, to test the effect or result of.

If you were to look up the word “Do” you would come up with this reference.

- To perform, to execute, to accomplish, to act upon, to take action, to finish or be finished.

Which one are you?

To me, it’s either do or do not! I will test and track and get rid of the trash that doesn’t work. Doing is taking action and when we take action, we are committing to accomplish the actions we put in place to complete.

When I was 8 years old, my father finally got me to “try” onions and they made me gag. Today in life, I love onions. I did not actually try the onions, I took action and ate the piece of onion I was given; therefore I had done and accomplished something that I fully committed myself to doing!

I started my own business 14 years ago and stand successful today! If I had “tried” to start my own business 14 years ago, I believe I would have attempted the process and set myself up for failure! Instead, I took “action” and “committed” to start my own business 14 years ago; therefore I set myself up to accomplish the actions I committed myself to do!

I 150% believe in do or do not. The more you do and the more mistakes you make, you learn to become an expert in anything you set action upon to DO! Thus, giving no such thing as try!

In the online world of marketing, most Internet marketers classify the word try as test and track. We use organizations to “Test and Track” what works and what doesn’t work. We then know what we are required to change. It’s more like, getting rid of the trash. If it’s no good and it’s not working for us, we throw it out and commit to doing something new!

All-in-all and at the end of each day, I believe there is no TRY. It’s either Do or DO NOT.

That’s my opinion, although opinions vary!

What is your opinion? Do you try to accomplish your goals or are you a doer of commitment to accomplish your goals and successes?

Generation Of High Conversion Traffic The Blogger’s Way!

April 23, 2009 · Filed Under Building Traffic · Comment

Gaining knowledge and educating yourself is a great way to learn by visiting other fellow entrepreneur blogs. In today’s Web 2.0, there are many blogs and they have many other uses than just giving their viewers a handful of knowledge and education. How about this!

Generation of Traffic to your own landing page (sales page) by means of using others blogs!

It is as easy as 1-2-3 to create presence on a blog that doesn’t even belong to you, which in return drives traffic back to your landing page. If you have a business on the Internet today, I highly recommend you utilizing this strategy to generate traffic to your landing page!

This is all you have to do to generate traffic to your own landing page by visiting others blogs:

1. Find blogs that get a lot of traffic and allow you to comment.

2. Visit those blogs on a daily basis and search for new posts.

3. Read the new posts and educate yourself. There is a wealth of knowledge that can be learned and education is key!

4. You will notice a comment box at the bottom of their full post which allows you to enter in your full name, email address (which will not be visible to others) and a box to enter in your landing page URL so do just that. Enter in your full name, email address and landing page URL.

5. Then fill in your comment of what you thought of the post, use your name again as your signature and again, enter your landing page URL.

The viewers that visit these high traffic blogs also view the comments that other visitors leave about the posts! What a better way to do business, right? If you just take a fraction of your time a day, visit 5 or more blog sites that generate high traffic and utilize this method of traffic generation, you will find that your landing page will generate much more traffic just by you taking that fraction of your time and leaving a small comment that leads right back to your landing page!

Here’s a “Bonus Tip” for Twitter users! You can also gain a lot of new followers by adding your Twitter ID under your signature as well. I have time tested and proven this over the past 6 months with myself and my students. By generating traffic to your Twitter account, you are also generating traffic to your landing pages by means of your profile URL.

Creating The Right Optin For Your Squeeze Pages

April 21, 2009 · Filed Under Converting Traffic · Comment

Throughout all my years of online business, Squeeze Pages, also known as an Optin page or as my good friend Alex Mandossian calls them; a Shy Yes page; this major question comes up every year and it always ranks the top 5 questions on my list.

The Question is, “What type of optin is better to use on my squeeze page? Single or Double?” Here’s my answer and best solution to this scenario.

This is a very good question because I want to let you know that it is very important not to steer towards a single!

A single Optin is where a prospect gives you their first name and primary Email address and as soon as they click the “Click Here To Get My Goodies” button, they are automatically confirmed without having to check their email account in order to confirm their subscription, before getting the goodies.

Why is this a bad way to set up your subscriptions on your squeeze pages?

It goes like this. What if the prospect that visited your page entered in a bogus first name and Email address? Well they get the goods and you start creating headaches. Why headaches? Well, when you allow automatic confirmation and your Autoresponder service starts sending your programmed Emails to a bogus Email address, you start getting SPAM COMPLAINTS. This is exactly why I highly recommend you use a double for your online squeeze pages.

Here’s why!

A double Optin allows your prospect to enter in their first name and their primary Email address. Your Autoresponder service automatically sends out a confirmation Email to that prospect for them to confirm their subscription before they get the goods. In the mean while, after they clicked the submit button, they are also redirected to a thank you page where they are directed by you that they will not get any goodies until they go to their Email account to confirm their subscription. Once they go to their email account and confirm their subscription, the Autoresponder service automatically redirects them to the thank you page you created with all the goodies available to them.

It is a bit of a pain, I know. When it comes to getting a bad reputation for sending SPAM ATTEMPTS from your Autoresponder service, the extra little work you do will benefit you in the long run of your online business, thus creating no headaches.

Creating the right squeeze page can be one of the most difficult things anyone can ever do. They may look easy, but there is actually a science to creating the perfect squeeze page.

List Building With JV Giveaway Events

April 14, 2009 · Filed Under Converting Traffic · Comment

Are you new to the Internet and are you starting on from scratch. How on earth are you expected to earn an income if you don’t have your own list of subscribers?

Imagine that within 7 days your list size can grow from a tidily 50 or 100 subscribers, to a whopping 1,000 or even 2,000 subscribers.

People LOVE free stuff. And there are three words that can change your list building strategies and it’s called a “JV Giveaway Events”.

JV Giveaway events are events that effectively drive web traffic to your personal or business landing page – helping you in building your list of subscribers. It is made up of a group of marketers who promote related products. A contributor must have something free to offer. Expanding your subscriber database will become much easier!

What is a JV?

JV stands for Joint Venture – A joint venture is a business endeavor that combines two or more entrepreneurs together. The parties join forces to create a new product, service, or website, etc. Now combine that with a Giveaway! You then have two or more parties combining forces to give away free products. Thus we have a Joint Venture Giveaway Event.

Here are the three important necessities required to set up your profile in order to become a contributor.

1 – Your Squeeze Page

You must provide a squeeze page (also known as an opt-in) that contains a sign up form to your free product.

2 – Your Redirect Landing Page

This is the landing page where visitors will be redirected to after they have signed up on your squeeze page. It is normally a thank you page that tells the visitor that they must confirm their email address within their email account before they get their free product.

3 – The Direct Download Page

You must provide your direct download page when setting up your JV Giveaway Event profile to your free gift. This is a must and this is how you get approved to be a part of these great programs. If you do not provide the direct download page link, your gift will not be approved and you will not be able to take part in the program.

In conclusion, this is one of the most cost effective and economical ways to build a secure mailing list and at the same time you are building a know, like and trust relationship with your subscribers as you are giving a valuable product absolutely Free! If you decide to not sign up as an upgraded member to the program, then sign up as a Free contributor and promote the program so that your gift will be displayed.

I look forward to seeing your entries and your success online!
