Outsourcing – How To Make More Money And Have More Free Time By Allowing Others To Help You

May 12, 2009 · Filed Under E-Business · Comment

Outsourcing is the process of assigning a task to someone else to complete. Typically you will do this with tasks and activities that fall into one or both of two categories. One category is things that you do not know how to do. The other category is the things that you do not like to do, whether or not you already know how to do them.

If you are building an internet business, you may not know how to set up a website to build your list and to sell a product. This is a perfect example of something you may need to outsource so that it can be completed quickly and easily. I did this at first, but then learned how to do most of the process myself so that I would not be dependent on others to keep my business running smoothly.

Another part of an internet marketing business is keeping track of your sales and tax obligations. Even though I did this for years while I was working in real estate, I now have others who take care of it for me. I no longer look forward to figuring out my quarterly estimated tax payments.

It is a smart idea to begin outsourcing as much as you can from the very beginning. You simply do not have the time to learn to do everything yourself. You are now a business owner, and you need your valuable time to do the marketing for your business, not the day to day mechanics of the business.

Many people find it difficult to give up the control of handling all of the details of their online business. If this describes you, take some time to think about how much more you will be able to accomplish if you simply hire others and delegate the parts of your business you do not know how to do or simply do not like to do.

Once you find someone who can do the work you need done, you will wonder why you didn’t do this from the very beginning. The time you save will allow you to be more creative and work on projects that will bring you more business and increase your revenue.

Having your own business allows you to have both financial and time freedom, but you must make this happen. Outsourcing certain tasks will help you to make this a reality in the shortest period of time.

How To Use Twitter To Position Yourself As An Expert In Your Niche And Build Your Online Business

May 11, 2009 · Filed Under New to the Internet · Comment

Using Twitter as part of your online marketing plan makes a lot of sense. If done correctly, Twitter can help you to increase your visibility, credibility, and your bottom line. In just a short period of time, sometimes in just two to three months, you can become well known in your niche and open up new opportunities in your business.

First, you will want to get signed up, upload a picture of yourself, and write a short profile that describes what you do. Include a link to your blog or to a site where people can get an even better feel for what you are doing on the internet and off.

Make sure to use a picture that looks like you. The internet is all about transparency, so use a recent picture that shows your features. This is the very first impression people will have of you, so make it a positive one.

Include a link to your blog or website, instead of a link to your page on Facebook, an opt in page, or another site. If someone is interested enough to find out more about you, make sure you are leading them to a site where they can easily do this.

Now you will want to tweet a few times to tell people why you have joined Twitter, what you do, and how you intend to help them. These initial tweets will serve you well during your first week or so on the site.

Then you will want to find some people to follow. There are several ways to go about this. You may already know the Twitter names of some people you wish to follow. You can also scroll to the bottom of the page and search for people by typing in their name or using keywords to find people from your city or in your niche.

Begin to interact with these people and you will soon be a part of the conversation. Answer questions from others and ask questions about what you will need help with. You will find that this is a caring community of people who truly want to see others succeed.

After two or three months you will see that more opportunities have opened up for you, your list will have grown, and many people who had previously not been aware of you will now know you and recognize your name.

Decide now what results and outcomes you are looking for, and write them down. Two months from now take a look at what you wrote down and you will be amazed at the results you will have achieved. You can become known as an expert in your niche very quickly, simply by becoming active while using Twitter.

Copywriting – Writing Compelling Web Sales Copy With Storytelling

May 9, 2009 · Filed Under Writing for the Web · Comment

Copywriting is the term used to describe web sales copy. Whenever you purchase something on the internet, it is most likely like you first read a sales letter that was written specifically for the internet.

This type of writing is very different from any other. In fact, it is not writing at all. Instead, web sales copy is a persuasive type of selling directed at those who are searching for information online. You can learn to craft sales copy in the same way so that your prospects will be compelled to purchase what you have for sale.

One the best ways to reach people is through storytelling. I learned this early on, and it has made a huge difference in my online business. Later on, many of my clients tell me they were so drawn in by my story that they knew they wanted to buy from me right away.

Storytelling only works if you are sharing a true story of how you went from where you were to where you are today. My story includes information on how I was teaching and working in real estate for twenty years, six or seven days a week, just to be able to have my own home and care for my mother.

I go on to talk about having survived cancer, more than once, and how I decided to change my life completely as I approached my fiftieth birthday. Many people can relate to this story.

I then go on to tell them about how I got a slow start online, but once I figured out how to build an online business I have now tripled my income. Finally, I tell them that I do not want them to have to go through an entire year before making money online.

The story is completely true and extremely compelling. We are all used to hearing stories from the time we are very young, so as adults we continue to be interested in what others have gone through to get to where they are today.

Spend some time writing down your story. Divide it into three parts. These are where you were to begin with, what happened in your life to make you want to change things, and how you changed them in order to create what you now have. Be specific with dates, events, and actions you took to make the transition in your life.

Copywriting on the internet will bring you more clients than you ever imagined, once people can relate to you and see themselves in your shoes. When you spend some time working on writing your sales letter and you will build your online business quickly and easily.

Making Huge Profits By Attending Live Events – How To Promote Yourself In Person

May 7, 2009 · Filed Under Public Relations · Comment

Attending live events can be an important way for you to excel in your field. But did you know that you can actually make quite a bit of money by doing so? I went to a number of seminars and conferences before learning how to turn them into profitable events.

Once I learned exactly what to do, I began to make money and find prospects before the event ever began. Now that Twitter and Facebook are used daily by hundreds of thousands of people, you can use someone else’s event to promote what you do online even more easily.

You will want to start creating a buzz about the seminar or conference you will be attending about one week before it is scheduled to begin. I like to tweet about it, using the hash tag that the event coordinator has assigned to it. A hash tag is simply some letters and numbers that are assigned to your event so that people can follow the conversation and get to know each other before they arrive.

You will want to arrive the afternoon before the seminar starts. This will give you a chance to relax and change clothes before you go down to the restaurant or lounge to look for other attendees. If you already know what they look like, because you have heard them speak before or seen them online, go up to them and introduce yourself.

The following morning I like to register as early as possible. This gives me the opportunity to walk around and meet the other attendees as they are registering. I then choose a seat near the back of the room. I have learned that this is advantageous if I want to be perceived as a professional who is there to both learn and to network with others.

You will also want to have separate business cards made for each event. Once I started doing this I connected with more prospects and prospective clients than ever before. It is amazing to me how much money I was leaving on the table before I learned all of this and put it into action.

I now attend about six to ten seminars or conferences each year, and make more money from the people I connect with than I could possibly make by simply marketing on the internet. I encourage you to make a direct effort to learn how to set up your own strategy for profiting from live events you attend.

Making Money From Home – How To Become An Entrepreneur On The Internet

April 23, 2009 · Filed Under New to the Internet · Comment

Working from home has made a huge difference in my life. In 2005 I made a decision that would change the course of my life in ways I could not imagine at that time. After being a classroom teacher and real estate broker for the previous twenty years, I walked away from it all and began to explore the world of internet marketing.

The transition was not a smooth one. I wasn’t sure exactly how I would make money on the internet, but it became my passion to learn what I needed to do and how my experience and skills would fit into the grand scheme of things. I found out very quickly that I would need to write if I were to become successful online. Article writing, blogging, and forums were all a part of what I needed to learn.

Writing was the one area that I had mixed feelings about. I had written so much during college and right after college, but teachers had told me that my writing was not very good, and I had chosen to believe this.

I wanted to change my life so badly that I jumped right in and started writing. It was the best decision I ever made. As I continued to write every single day it became a habit that I looked forward to each day. My business began to grow and I began to teach others what I had learned.

The technology also proved to be a challenge that I enjoyed. There was so much to learn, and I was a sponge when it came to trying out everything others were doing. Some things took me quite awhile to pick up, so I began teaching the technology to others as well. If you have ever wanted to become an entrepreneur and make your own hours, internet marketing may well be for you.

If you are going to make any money on the internet, you must have something to sell. This does not need to be your own product, and, in fact, selling someone else’s product or service through your affiliate link may be the best way to get started.

This way you can see how the process works and be in a better position when you decide to create a product of your own. If the idea of becoming an entrepreneur appeals to you, I would strongly encourage you to find out more about getting started on the internet.
