Wine Clubs – An Interesting Solution

October 12, 2009 · Filed Under Wine and Spirits · Comment

Wine Clubs are one way that many people sample wines from all over the world without ever leaving the comfort of their own home. These clubs are often far more affordable than you would believe. They also happen to be very eclectic.

There are Australian selections; American clubs from California, Oregon and beyond; French varieties and eve boutique clubs from vineyards all over the world. These memberships make it easy to indulge your need to sample the flavors of wines from across the globe, often even some that are not available from any other source.

These memberships make special arrangements with vineyards and buy in such large quantities that they can pass the savings on to you.

So what are the benefits to a wine of the month club, you may ask?

1) These clubs buy wines in bulk so that they can offer them to you at a considerable discount.

2) You don’t have to worry about heading out to the liquor store to purchase your wine, as it is delivered to your door once a month.

3) You can choose to receive hard to find, award winning wine from some of the bigger wineries or you can choose a smaller wine club that offers boutique wines.

4) You can choose a local club or have wines shipped in from Australia, France, California and beyond.

5) You can often choose to receive either two bottles of red wine or a bottle of red and a bottle of white.

6) In many cases you can choose whether you want to pay monthly or pay in advance for a 6 or 12 month subscription.

Now wine of the month clubs are very different from wine tasting clubs, a club of the month means what it says. It is a club that selects and delivers wines to you to enjoy in your home and automates this process for you. Your credit card is charged a predetermined fee and two bottles are selected for you and delivered to your door. A wine tasting club is usually locally based at a restaurant or bar and is better geared towards those who want to get out of the house and sample different wines. You would get a sip of one and a sip of the other but you would not have a full bottle to yourself and you would not be able to bring the wine home unless you purchased it, usually for retail value.

So criteria comes into play when deciding which of these two wine venues you wish to pursue. If you enjoy sipping wine in the comfort of your own home then go for a wine of the month club. If, instead, you enjoy mingling with new people and don’t mind paying a higher price to actually purchase a bottle then think of joining a wine tasting club in your area. You can find many of them at meetup.com.

Some of the prominent wine of the month clubs available are the American Cellars wine club; some of the 90 point clubs, which only offer wines that have been given the esteemed 90 points or higher ratings by wine authorities like the Wine Spectator; or some of the better known International wine clubs. Again choose based on your criteria of price, area where the wine is cultivated and whether you are looking for a prestigious 90 point or better wine or the thrill of discovering wine from some of the smaller boutique vineyards. Whichever wine club you choose, make a celebration of it. Have your own wine tasting at home. Bring out the cheeses and sliced meats that you enjoy, or perhaps a piece of chocolate for the sweeter wines and really enjoy each precious sip.

Options Trading Strategies You Can Use to Profit

October 12, 2009 · Filed Under Investing · Comment

Over 50% of individual traders fail when using their own options strategies. Why? Because they have trading rules that they toss out the window when they get a “gut feeling” or when a trade that they really believe in goes bad. Successful traders are never attached to an individual trade. Picking a trading strategy and sticking with it is key to accumulating wealth through trading. Emotion needs to be left out of it.

Here are a few options strategies that you can use to take the emotional aspect of trading:

1) Don’t assume that a losing position will correct itself and never add to a losing position.

There is a reason for the expression that ” the trend is your friend.” It will tell you when your trade is on track and it will indicate when the trade is headed south. Don’t fight it. Don’t assume that it will turn itself around. Averaging down into a losing trade is a sure way to lose your money.

2) Trade when the market goes up and when it goes down.

Most traders know how to buy calls. They know how to buy when they believe that the market will go up. But there is an equal amount of money to be made when it goes down. You have to be comfortable investing in both calls and puts. Again look at the trend and if it reverses get out of the trade.

3) Trade logically.

Fear based trading is a sure way to lose money. Fear creates paralysis. It keeps you from pulling the trigger and getting out of a trade.

4) The objective of successful options strategies is to create profit. It is opposite of what many believe. You are not there to buy low and to sell high, but to buy high and to sell higher, or to sell short low and to buy lower. Look at the trend.

5) Sell markets that show the greatest weakness; buy markets that show the greatest strength.

Again look at the trend. You are not here just to buy into strong markets. You are here to make a profit either way.

6) You do not have to be in a trade all the time.

There are times when the markets are flat or in a sideways trend. This is not the time to enter a trade. Stay out of the market!

7) No one can predict the market.

Just when you think you have the market figured out it can change on you. Your options strategies should always include entry and exit points. Have a stop loss point in mind for each trade before you enter it. This is where most people get it wrong. You must be willing to put exit points in and stop losses as well.

Stop losses will get you out at a predetermined time, if the option starts to head south. This keeps you from that ” but I just know it will go up” mentality that gets most people out of trouble. Trading options profitably is a numbers game. You will win many trades but you will also lose some. No one is infallible. The main thing to remember is that you must trade long enough and minimize your losses enough to continue trading for those big winning trades.

Acne Skin Care Tips and Advice

October 12, 2009 · Filed Under Beauty · Comment

Acne skin care does not have to be difficult. Pimples can be caused by many different factors. Did you know that over washing your face can make your skin even worse? And using too many different skin care products can do the same thing.

Pick one line of pimple products and stick to it. When you use too many different skin care lines at the same time, the ingredients may actually interact badly and cause your skin to get even oiler. So pick one hypo allergenic product line and test it out. Give it a chance and use it for at least a week or two. See if you notice a difference in your skin tone or feel. Also consider using a product that is specifically designed for acne prone skin.

Use a toner to calm your skin down after cleansing. Also use a skin care line that is actually for oily or t zone prone skin. The beauty industry has spent billions of dollars researching which ingredients are right for your skin type so stop trying to second guess them.

Also use a facial mask once a week to help heal your skin and take down any inflammation. Again look for a facial product that is meant for your skin type. If you don’t want to spend extra money on a facial mask try grinding some apples and honey together and apply them to your skin. Leave on for twenty minutes. This is a good mask for oily skin. Whichever mask you use, test it on a small portion of your skin to start. Make sure that you don’t have a sensitivity to it before applying it to the rest of your face.

What you put in your body is also a big factor in how your skin looks. You must drink plenty of water to flush out impurities. Filtered water is preferable. Avoid greasy or fried foods, as well. And eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible.

Never pick at your pimples. This will only lead to scarring which is even worse than having the acne to begin with.

Hire a good dermatologist and see him or her periodically so that they are aware of your progress, what is working and what isn’t. Also go to him if you develop those underground acne bumps. He can inject them and help reduce the inflammation. There is no need to deal with not only having acne but being in pain.

There are so many wonderful acne skin care product lines out there now. Ask your dermatologist which one is right for you.

Cat Health Care Advice for the New Owner

October 12, 2009 · Filed Under Pets and Animals · Comment

If you have a cat to care for, you will need some cat health care advice from people who are knowledgeable in feline wellness. Who could be better than your local veterinarian who may physically check and conduct laboratory tests to your cat whenever necessary? However, there is some important additional information from other sources such as the internet where you might use in maintaining the good well-being of your cat. Cat education and health care advice are interesting and essential topics that can be searched out from veterinary sites full of vital opinions and counsels from veterinarians and cat health professionals. Expert tips regarding cat ailments such as urinary tract infection, heart and respiratory problems, and other infirmities are discussed in a layman’s point-of-view for easier understanding.

Many veterinary sites offers cat health care advice on many aspects of feline wellness as well as natural treatment and homeopathic remedies. Let us take a peek on some of the products recommended by these sites.

Clean-Cat Shampoo with Chamomile is a naturally formulated calming cleansing shampoo which supports healthy skin because it does not contain harmful petrochemicals. It contains chamomile (an aromatic perennial plant with delicate leaves) which makes it calming and non-irritating to cats when they bathe.

C-Caps is a natural antioxidant which sustains a healthy appetite and energy levels. It promotes good cell, tissue, and organ health in cats. C-Caps is made from a combination of herbs especially chosen for their immune tonic characteristics, ability to maintain energy and wellness, and for their purifying capabilities.

Better-Bladder Control is a natural treatment for bladder control to help prevent incontinence for you cats. It is a homeopathic remedy presented in a dissolvable granule form which is easy for your cat to take in. The granules are simply scattered on the back of your cat’s tongue to quickly dissolve.

Heart and Circulation Tonic is a homeopathic remedy that temporarily improves the circulatory system including the heart.

A holistic approach including natural remedies, regular exercise, and healthy routine will lead to better heart and general well-being of your cat. This remedy comes in dissolvable granule form with a taste not repugnant to your cat, therefore it is easy to administer besides being quickly absorbed through the mouth.

There are a lot more natural and homeopathic remedies for your ailing cats. It is, however, recommended to have a regimen of holistic approach for your cat’s better well-being. The heart, liver, and other organs do not function separately and “should be seen as parts of overall systemic functioning. From a holistic point of view, therefore, it makes sense that regular exercise and a balanced diet are important in maintaining systemic as well as adrenal health. Certain herbs are also known to support the health of the adrenal glands. As animals react well to supplementation with herbal remedies, these can also play an important role in supporting a pet’s adrenal function.

Homeopathic remedies can be equally effective in maintaining healthy energy levels and body weight, digestive functioning, cardiovascular health and electrolyte balance.

It is therefore prudent to consider your cat’s wellness not only from physical point of view but also from the emotional stand point, creating a balance of healthy eating, sleeping and exercise habits. This will surely lead to your cat’s enhanced health and longer life ahead. And of course, you should always consult your veterinarian whenever there is a need for you to administer drugs and food supplement to your cats especially if the medicine you will be using has not been given to your cat in previous occasion.

How to Earn Extra Money for Christmas

October 9, 2009 · Filed Under Career · Comment

Need to earn extra money for Christmas? Yes, the holiday season is approaching again and with it comes the need for more cash. You may be skimping on yourself but your kids deserve the best. Figuring out how to get them what they want and need this Christmas is easier than you thought. Here are some easy money making tips:

1) Go through your closets and get out everything that you don’t need, use or want. Yes, even the waffle iron that you always meant to use and the wedding gifts that have been packed in storage for decades. Set up an ebay account and start turning those unused items into holiday shopping money.

2) Write articles for people online and earn cash. There is a high demand for freelance article writers online. Go to sites like elance.com and guru.com and set up an account. Then just start bidding on projects. Start low and as your ratings improve begin to raise your rates.

3) Know how to create a website or program? Go to rentacoder.com and bid on projects there. There are tons of people out there looking for bargains on programming and web site design.

4) Set up squidoo lenses with affiliate programs. It is free to set up and each time someone clicks on the ads and buys something you get paid a percentage.

5) Set up hubpages. This is the same concept as squidoo but they allow you to add adsense ads to your pages, as well as the affiliate programs. So anytime someone even clicks on your adsense ads, whether they buy or not, you get paid.

6) Promote free affiliate programs online. There are thousands of companies who will pay you to drive traffic to their products. Any time someone buys you get paid. The highest payouts are usually from the digital companies like clickbank.com and e-junkie.com. They can pay out as high as 75% because there is no shipping involved. People buy and download their products and you, as an affiliate, get paid per sale.

7) Create your own digital products and sell them through clickbank. If the product and sales page on your website is really good, try to get affiliates of your own. Yes you have to pay them per sale but it is like having your very own sales team at work for you. And the best part is you only pay them when they make a sale. Their work puts extra money in your pocket.
