You’re Never Too Old To Learn To Defend Yourself

October 27, 2009 · Filed Under Martial Arts · Comment

If you’re a fan of the Lethal Weapon series like I am you’re probably used to hearing Danny Glover’s character L.A.P.D. Detective Roger Murtaugh saying, “I’m to old for this,” many times throughout the films. Despite how he feels though the heroic detective keeps stepping up to the challenge and takes on mercenaries, gang members, and gangsters. While real life isn’t like the movies many older guys I have talked to seem to think self defense isn’t something they can do any more, and that isn’t the case. Sure you might not be 18 any more, but your spirit and drive are still there, and now more than ever you need to know how to fight.

The majority of older people are polite citizens who go about there business enjoying life, and how does they criminal element repay you? They see you as a target because they think you won’t fight back, and it doesn’t matter how nice or reasonable you are to them. Your best defense is avoiding these bad situations, but when confronted you need to fight and you need to fight dirty. Think about it you probably can’t out run your attacker and the longer the fight lasts the more likely you are to get hurt. While martial arts might be a lot of fun at this stage in the game you don’t have time to waste, so need real self defense training.

If you can raise your arm and swing it you can defend yourself, and deal a potentially lethal blow. If you can raise you knee you can make an attacker back up and if you can lift your car keys you can use mace. Self defense doesn’t need to be complicated to work, but it needs to be brutal and effective. You shouldn’t have to live in fear of punks, and just because you want to learn how to defend yourself doesn’t mean you’re looking for trouble either.

I don’t need to tell you that over time some physical acts are harder to perform. Friends of mine have told me they can’t fires like they once did or ride their motorcycles or any number of activities they did when they were younger, but what I respect is they don’t give up, and they push themselves to do their best. I see guys of all ages working out at the gym and the firing range, and they’re doing their best with what they’ve got. One former marine I know has a host of health problems he deals with every day, so now he carries several devices to help him protect his wife and family. You might be to old for a lot of things, but protecting yourself is something you never age out of, so keep training and enjoying every day to its fullest.

In this article we are going to go over some of those tips. So that the customers that come in to the restroom in between the cleanings still walk into a bathroom that still smells fresh and clean. The first that you can do is to remove any thing that should not be there. For example check behind the toilets and in the drain for anything that might sit there and over time develop a smell. If there is something clogged in the drain or in the traps overtime being exposed will cause a not so pleasant smell. This may be offensive to a customer walking in to use the restroom.

That was the first simple step. After you have gone thru and really checked everywhere to make sure nothing is trapped anywhere that may cause a problem later. Choosing the cleaning agent that you are going to use is the next step and an important one. If you do not choose a strong enough cleanser then it will not kill all of the odor causing bacteria. Just because the cleaner cleans the surface does not mean that that it is cleaning what you can’t see. It does not have to be a harsh chemical they do offer green products that will get the job done effectively.

Something to keep in mind when you are cleaning the restroom is to make sure to clean all of the little nukes and crannies around the toilets or urinals. The reason for that is because sometimes urine will run down and get in all of the cracks and overtime will cause a very foul odor. There is special equipment that you can use to help make this part of the process easier for you. Any type of equipment to make you job easier is recommended.

Cleaning the restrooms in an office building is not the highlight of working or running a commercial cleaning business but it is important. This is just two very important steps that will help keep the bathroom smelling good. They are just small tips that you can do to help make sure that the job is being done effectively.

If you have just put up your web based business and want to get your site out there and noticed then a pay per click campaign might be a good option for you. This is a type of paid search engine optimization. There is organic search engine optimization which is just as important. The thing about organic search engine optimization is that it does take some time. Getting a new site up on the first three pages of Google takes work and time.

Both kinds of SEO is very important and to have a successful web based business you really need to do both paid and organic. While you are waiting to get your site ranked organically in Google starting a pay per click campaign is a great way to drive business to your site. One of the benefits to running a campaign is you can spend as little or as much as you want. So even if there is not much money in the budget for advertising you can still get your name out there.

The first step in starting a campaign is choosing the proper keywords. This is a very important step because if you choose keyword that are not relevant or too vague then you will end up paying more then you need to for each click. If the keyword really has no relevance to your site then you will pay a lot per click. If the keyword is too vague then you will have a lot of impressions and not a very high click thru rate. Also for example if there is a high competition for the word then you will pay more than necessary. So it is important to narrow down the search by being as precise as you can be. You will have less impression but a much higher click thru rate.

After you have narrowed down to your final keywords then you will want to start you campaign. After you have signed up for your Google Adwords account then you go in and start your ad groups. The next step is creating ads for the keywords in your ad group. You will have your title then your ad and you have a display URL and a destination URL. The display URL is obviously what people see when they are viewing your ad. The destination URL is where they will go when they click on your ad.

After you have that all set up then you can go in and set how you want your ads to be rotated. You can have them set them to how you want fast you want them shown. You can either space them out thru the day or you can have them shown quicker till you reach your daily budget.

There is a lot of control with your campaigns. Go thru and read everything before you set anything make sure it is what is best for you. Then you will learn by trial and error on what works with your campaign.

Making The Best Decision For Retreatment

October 27, 2009 · Filed Under Technology · Comment

In order to make the best decision when you are deciding on retreatment. You should take a few things into consideration before making your final decision.
After the special coating is applied, the casting finish is much more effective because the crevices have been filled by producing a smoother finish and appearance to the castings. The threads, cracks and tool marks are then all smoothed and the die surface can now produce castings with a finish as fine as 8 R.M.S. when required.

Heat Checks are greatly reduced following the special coating treatment but is not removed completely. However, it is noticeable that the usual rapid progress of the heat checking is virtually stopped for a period following the coating. After the treatment, heat checks still may be visible on the castings and may not be completely eliminated. Later, when checking does progress, it is at much reduced rate.

Before additional retreatment’s, the die impressions always should be stoned and/or polished, especially in the areas of severe checks. This action may seem foolish since the existing chromium coating cannot be completely stoned off the die surface. However, the edges of heat check cracks will be smoothed to give a more even surface, or at least one that is smoother than it was before the die is to be retreated. This practice will be helpful in ensuring a good coating retreatment time after time.

In many cases, material flow will be enhanced after the coating has been applied. The 72 Rc surface resists sticking and material build up making for a cleaner die environment. Please keep this in mind when you consider. In addition, this 72 Rc hardness will enhance the parting line edges, helping to reduce or eliminate flashing. Since the coating will not peel, crack, or chip, the surface integrity of the coating on the die surface is absolute.

When recoating is called for it is absolutely important that you prepare, clean, weld and repair the die steel to its best condition to ensure that coating will deliver its many advantages.

Needless to say, profits can be increased by reducing the cost of salvaging castings and increasing die life. It should be considered that when heat checked castings are produced, they require more and separate handling. The cost of the treatment is very reasonable and is an excellent option for all die casters to consider in reducing these operations.

Benefits Of Electric Sliding Gates

October 26, 2009 · Filed Under Home Security · Comment

If you decide that you need or would like to get an electric gate for your home then electric sliding gates are a good option. They are good for a number of reasons. One of the big reasons that people get gates is for protection and for a sense of security. It is not only the rich and the famous that have electric gates anymore. There was a time where the gates were very expensive and not everyone could afford to get one. That is not the case anymore they have become more affordable.

Not only are they more affordable but you can also install them yourself. If you are installing an electric gate then it is important that you have some kind of knowledge in electric work. Electric gates are much easier than the standard sliding gate. When you come home you can just push a button to open your gate and you don’t even need to get out of the car. Once you are in the gate you just push the button to close the gate behind you. This is important especially if you are a celebrity or in the lime light. Then the last thing that you want to do is have to get out of the car or have someone else get out of the car while there are people that you don’t even know surrounding your car.

Even if you are not a celebrity you still got a gate for security reasons. The last thing that you want to do is get out of your car at night and have to try to open the lock on the gate with a key. During the day it may not be such a big deal but when it’s late and you are tired and just want to go home. Do you really want to have to get out of your car and fumble with your keys to find the right key. Then with the light from your car lights try to get the key in the lock. It is just so much easier to have the gate open as you are pulling up to it.

The sliding gate is also beneficial because they move faster than the swing gates. Because they do move faster there is less of a chance of unwanted company sneaking in behind you while the gate is closing. You can sleep better knowing that there is no unwanted company poking around your property.
